Remembrance Day Krimpen aan den IJssel

On May 4, we commemorate all victims who were killed or murdered during the Second World War. We also commemorate the victims who died in war situations and in peacekeeping operations after the Second World War. Due to corona, there is no public ceremony this year at the memorial monument and the grave of the fallen soldiers at the IJsseldijk cemetery. You can, however, attend the ceremony digitally.

Wreath-laying and speeches mayor and next of kin

IJsseldijk cemetery has a short meeting without an audience. You can watch or listen to the ceremony from approximately 7.55 pm on YouTube and the local Omroep Krimpen. Prior to the 2-minute silence at 8 p.m., the mayor will lay a wreath. After the silence, mayor Martijn Vroom will give his speech. Mr. Hans Buijs also spoke. Mr. Buijs is the brother of the killed soldier Jan Buijs. Jan Buijs died in World War II and is buried in the military grave at the IJsseldijk cemetery. Mr. Buijs talks about the impact his brother's death had on the family. The ceremony lasts until approximately 8.30 pm.

Decade Dick: Almost all participants passed the traffic exam

Freek Bredius was a guest in Decennium Dick on behalf of Safe Traffic Netherlands department Krimpen aan den IJssel. He was able to tell us that 421 children participated in the practical traffic exam today. All but five children passed. Congratulations to all! The children who did not make it turned out to have cycled on the route with their hands free. The route started and ended at the Tuyter. Mayor Martijn Vroom was present to officially start the first class. 7.3 Kilometers was cycled and the children of the groups 7 and 8 passed all kinds of difficult intersections and traffic situations in Krimpen aan den IJssel. What was very annoying and difficult was that there have been young people who removed or turned around signs from the route. In addition, some plates are irreparably damaged. It was the first time that this happened on the day of the traffic test. Your browser does not support this audio player. You can download the file . Also in this edition of Decennium Dick a...

#Sweet

#Lief is a themed broadcast of Decennium Dick on Thursday evening March 4, 2021 ... Love is never sin, living without love is sin! That was one of the texts that was written down in chalk on the public road near the Mieras Church on Saturday. How can we find love again in Krimpen? How can we together ensure that peace is restored in our society? Where we can all live, work and live with pleasure? Living with pleasure is also one of the central points of the Youth Advisory Council of Krimpens-Belang. A group of 15 young people want to help local politicians with their ideas and will provide the Krimpens-Belang and thus actually the entire municipal council with input. Two members of the Youth Advisory Council were our guests tonight. Your browser does not support this audio player. You can download the file . Then we spoke with Alderman Coen Derickx about the letter from Reverend Kort, about how it was discussed in the council and what will happen on Saturday. Your browser does ...

Possibly Fieldlab church service in Krimpen

Thursday evening April 1 in Decennium Dick in extended with Mayor Martijn Vroom to look back on the past week. Through Teams I spoke with the mayor tonight about the impasse, the polarization and how we hope to get out of this situation together. POLARIZATION This week for the churches 'The silent week' it is the week of Good Friday and the following Easter. But it was not quiet in Krimpen aan den IJssel. It was restless with a journalist being kicked in the stomach and a firework bomb that exploded near the 'Oude Gereformeerde Kerk in the Netherlands' popularly known as the Mieraskerk. There is polarization. The full city council issued a joint statement this week. The mayor calls it 'the basis for a lot of good that is yet to come'. But the mayor also realizes that more is needed to regain peace in Krimpen: 'Without outside help, I think we will not just get out as a village, so we have already discussed this road a number of times. had with the ministr...
