Breakdancer Jeroen covers 20 kilometers head-rolling and hits a bizarre record

Gorcumer Jeroen van der Linden (31) has set the unofficial world record for rollover. Last Saturday he went from Gorinchem to Papendrecht and covered a distance of 20 kilometers while head rolling. The official record (19.3 kilometers) is held by the American Ahrita Furman. Van der Linden is a professional break dancer and founder and member of BreakSquad, a dance group that is causing a furore at home and abroad. He previously performed 'stunts' in Gorinchem by climbing the Grote Toren 112 times in 14 hours and walking the 5-kilometer-long city walls of Gorinchem a month ago. On his hands !!! Earlier this month, he announced that he wanted to push his boundaries again by head-rolling from Gorinchem to Rotterdam, bridging a distance of about 30 kilometers. A challenge that was too difficult, as it turned out later. But there was a philosophy behind it. “I had set Rotterdam as a goal. Beyond my final goal. I had to get over those 20 kilometers. And you always have to go a ste

Municipalities support National Moluccan Monument

This year it will be 70 years ago that the 1st generation Moluccans were transferred to the Netherlands in 1951 with 12 ship transports. On command, about 4000 Moluccan KNIL soldiers and Navy men came to the Netherlands with their families (in total 12,500 persons). At the point of arrival of the 1st transport ship at the Lloydkade in Rotterdam, it is not yet possible to trace a historical event. The National Moluccan Monument Foundation (LMM) is committed to realizing a monument. The monument will be a tribute to this 1st generation Moluccans and their families and in recognition of the shared past. The monument can also serve to continue telling the story of the arrival of Moluccans in the Netherlands to current and future generations. For anyone interested in this history, the foundation wants to offer an opportunity to learn more. They believe that more knowledge of each other's past leads to more understanding. To realize a monument, the LMM foundation has entered into a p

Free burgers with tattoo for years

A restaurant in California, USA, offers customers free burgers for a year if they have burger tattoos with the company's name placed on their bodies. As part of its 40th anniversary, Farmer Boys restaurant has partnered with two tattoo parlors in Las Vegas to create three different designs. Customers who get tattooed receive free Farmer Boys burgers, according to UPI. Hmm, an American hamburger always goes in. In this Happy Hour we have two Dutch Jukebox Giants: . Of course we also play some of Jim Steinman, who sadly passed away today. American composer and songwriter Jim Steinman, responsible for major hits by Meat Loaf and Céline Dion, among others, has passed away at the age of 73. Steinman has a large number of musical squatters on his resume. He wrote and produced MeatLoaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "It's all coming back to me now", of which his version with Céline Dion is be

Streaker from Granada-Manchester United was hidden in the stadium for no less than 14 hours (!)

The streaker who took to the field last Thursday evening during the Granada-Manchester United Europe League match has now also been identified. It is Olmo Garcia, a 37-year-old nudist known in the region. Garcia managed to sneak into the Granada stadium unnoticed on Thursday morning at 7. After that he was hidden under a tarpaulin at the edge of the field for no less than fourteen hours. In minute six he felt his moment come. By the way, Garcia is not ready for his test piece. The Spaniard is notorious in and around Granada. For example, images of Garcia naked through the Sierra Nevada circulate on social media. Brrrrrrr, that's cold! In this Happy Hour we have two giants of hits, or two Jukebox Giants, especially for the director of Popshop: Naturally we will also play a track from the CD of the Month “It's been beautiful” by Rob de Nijs. Erik's Tip is: Have fun listening! © 2021 Lokale Omroep Krimpen Source: Original article (Dutch)

Couple orders wedding cake, but baker makes embarrassing blunder

A woman was in a dent when she saw what the baker had started with the wedding cake. Fortunately, the blunder could be rectified just in time before the wedding couple saw it. The woman who discovered the blunder owned the restaurant where the wedding couple would have their dinner. The following was written on the wedding cake in chocolate sauce: “No inscription, please!”. In other words, the couple had indicated that they did not want anything written on the cake. However, the baker took their request too literally. The restaurant manager screamed with laughter, but luckily they were able to solve the problem just in time. “We scraped the text off and covered the cake with flowers,” she says. The woman shared the blunder on Twitter, which made a lot of people laugh. "One of the best things I've ever seen", and "Hahaha, Captain 'Literally' was the designer, right?" It will happen to you. In this episode of Happy Hour we have another “Cover-Original

Thursday evening April 1 in Decennium Dick an extended with Mayor Martijn Vroom to look back on the past week. Through Teams I spoke with the mayor tonight about the impasse, the polarization and how we hope to get out of this situation together. POLARIZATION This week for the churches 'The silent week' it is the week of Good Friday and the following Easter. But it was not quiet in Krimpen aan den IJssel. It was restless with a journalist being kicked in the stomach and a firework bomb that exploded near the 'Oude Gereformeerde Kerk in the Netherlands' popularly known as the Mieraskerk. There is polarization. The full city council issued a joint statement this week. The mayor calls it 'the basis for a lot of good that is yet to come'. But the mayor also realizes that more is needed to regain peace in Krimpen: 'Without outside help, I think we will not just get out as a village, so we have already discussed this road a number of times. had with the ministr
