The new LOK disc: Voila (Barbara Pravi)

In 2019 and 2020 Barbara wrote the French entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in 2020 Valentina won with that entry. Barbara is a woman of strong opinion. For example, in 2014 she released the song Chair, which made it clear that she supported a relaxation in the French abortion law. All her songs are about a certain vulnerability, like “Voilà”, in which she asks that someone listen to her. More than once she has been compared to Edith Piaf, the world famous French singer. She came second in the Eurovision Song Contest with 499 points. This week LOX DISK. © 2021 Lokale Omroep Krimpen Source: Original article (Dutch)

The new LOK drive: We are the People (Martin Garrix ft. Bono & the Edge)

Martin Garrix produces the official European Championship 2021 song 'We are the people'. The Dutch DJ and producer has been appointed by UEFA to make the song for EURO 2021. He does this together with none other than Bono and The Edge from U2. "We are the People" is the official song for EURO 2021 released a month before kick-off. The song was written to celebrate the festivities and the football. It is about the problems that people face in the world and about a joint solution to those problems. The European Championship song hopes to radiate positivity, hope and determination so that every team can succeed at the tournament. The song should also create a sense of togetherness. Garrix's vision came to life when Bono and The Edge of the legendary band U2 agreed to participate in the song. Bono wrote the lyrics and created the melodies, while The Edge added guitar riffs. The song composed by these great world artists is meant to get football fans in the mood for an

Ten goats dumped in the Spaarnwoude recreational area

A special find in the Spaarnwoude recreation area: after a report, a forester found ten dumped goats there on Monday evening near the Valleiweg. "This is animal abuse," said the ranger who found the animals. "Monday evening around 7.10 pm we received a report about stray goats near the Valleiweg", the forester tells NH Nieuws. "On the spot it turned out to be six adult goats and four young kids." The on-duty forest rangers have collected the ten goats in a trailer, provided them with hay and green fodder and then taken them to the nearby Zorgvrij information farm, where they are temporarily housed. "They look good, but do not have an ear tag, which is mandatory," the forester tells NH Nieuws. One of the goats did wear an ear tag, although it may have been removed by force. "Because he had a crack in his ear." The ranger hopes that witnesses have received something from the goat dump. She suspects that this must have happened on Mond

Zaid (9) saved coots from boys who threw it over

The Animal Ambulance Amsterdam and his mother are very proud of 9-year-old Zaid. The normally shy boy intervened when he saw a group of older boys throwing up two coots. "I did not like to see that, because animals also have a life," he says himself. It was not the first time that Zaid called the animal ambulance, but it was the most exciting. Earlier he called once for a dog that had clearly lost its owner. And also once for an injured bird. But when he went to play football a few days ago, he saw that some boys were throwing two birds. Zaid knows the boys from the neighborhood, they are a little older than him. "I think there was an 11 and the others 10." "They played with the birds, and then they threw them. Then they put them away for a while. Then I quickly picked them up and went home with them." Zaid was especially very sad that others had hurt the animals. "He came in crying," says his mother. "He said we should call the animal a
