Pictura presents: We got your back

In this edition of Happy Hour we have two tasty plates -> delicious in this sunny weather. In the second part of the program we talk to visual artist and photographer Anja de Jong (https://www.anjadejong.nl/home) about the first online exhibition of the oldest artists' association in the Netherlands, Teekengenootschap Pictura in Dordrecht (https://www.pictura.nl/ sale). These are not easy times, which is why Pictura has decided to help its members by presenting them online. All kinds of works of art can be seen and can of course also be bought for a very reasonable price!

Of course we also have time for nice summer music and oh yes the announcement of the new LOKSCHIJF!

Municipalities support National Moluccan Monument

This year it will be 70 years ago that the 1st generation Moluccans were transferred to the Netherlands in 1951 with 12 ship transports. On command, about 4000 Moluccan KNIL soldiers and Navy men came to the Netherlands with their families (in total 12,500 persons). At the point of arrival of the 1st transport ship at the Lloydkade in Rotterdam, it is not yet possible to trace a historical event. The National Moluccan Monument Foundation (LMM) is committed to realizing a monument. The monument will be a tribute to this 1st generation Moluccans and their families and in recognition of the shared past. The monument can also serve to continue telling the story of the arrival of Moluccans in the Netherlands to current and future generations. Literary Happy Hour

After Erik's Tip, writer Marjo de Vroed sits down to tell something about herself and of course about her second book. Marjo de Vroed (1965) has lived in South Holland all her life and was a teacher at a Jenaplan school. She is married and has three grown daughters. When they were little, she regularly made up stories for them, which she brought to life with their hugs. She has loved writing since childhood. It started from group 4 with stories in the school newspaper and eventually resulted in adulthood in writing musicals for group 8 of her own school. In between, she wrote notebooks full of short stories and rhymes. And now children's books . First, of course, we have an overview of the Mega Single Top-100 and the announcement of the new LOKSCHIJF. Afterwards Ellen Bommeljé will be a guest for the item “Happy with the Bieb aan de IJssel”.
