Decade Dick: East West Kunstwaard Best

Decade Dick paid a visit to the Krimpenerwaard Regional Museum twice this week. During Open Moment Day 2020, the brand-new Culture Guide was presented by Alderman for Culture, Coen Derickx. Huib Neven was ready to receive the first guide from the IJsseldijkkerkconcerten Foundation to applause.

After the speech, we spoke with a proud alderman, because it is the first time that so many authorities have cooperated in compiling the guide and the cultural program for Krimpen aan den IJssel.

Did you know that last Saturday the exhibition: 'East West, Kunstwaard best' can be viewed for the first time in the attic of the Regional Museum? We discussed this with artist Ina Verkaik, from atelier Lokaal.

Whose artworks can be viewed? Until? Where does Ina get her inspiration from? How did she spend her time during the Corona crisis? And she tells more about the works that she exhibits during this exhibition.

The exhibition 'East West Kunstwaard Best' can be viewed until 31 October in the Regional Museum on the IJsseldijk.

Man survives eighteen days in Australian wilderness

A 58-year-old man who had been missing in the Australian wilderness for 18 days has been found safe and sound. Robert Weber survived by drinking water from a dam and eating mushrooms. Police have announced. The man was last seen on January 6, after leaving a hotel in Kilkivan, Queensland, about 200 kilometers north of Brisbane. Boy (17) hits girl over bitterballen

The police in Hollands Kroon arrested a 17-year-old resident of Den Helder on Friday evening on suspicion of assault.
