Decade Dick: Almost all participants passed the traffic exam

Freek Bredius was a guest in Decennium Dick on behalf of Safe Traffic Netherlands department Krimpen aan den IJssel. He was able to tell us that 421 children participated in the practical traffic exam today. All but five children passed. Congratulations to all! The children who did not make it turned out to have cycled on the route with their hands free. The route started and ended at the Tuyter. Mayor Martijn Vroom was present to officially start the first class. 7.3 Kilometers was cycled and the children of the groups 7 and 8 passed all kinds of difficult intersections and traffic situations in Krimpen aan den IJssel. What was very annoying and difficult was that there have been young people who removed or turned around signs from the route. In addition, some plates are irreparably damaged. It was the first time that this happened on the day of the traffic test. Your browser does not support this audio player. You can download the file . Also in this edition of Decennium Dick a...

This week in Decade Dick

What a pleasant crowd it was tonight in the park near the Middenwetering. Strangely dressed people and children running around and running around. They were the children of groups 8 of PCB Het Kompas. Due to the corona crisis, the school camp was canceled this year. The 'N8 van 8' will be organized tonight and tonight. Barbecue, fun, a fox hunt and a night together at school. About the n8 of 8 we spoke with Miss Nienke and we also heard some enthusiastic students. We wish them a lot of fun! [AUDIO 171 2020-06-25 - Night of eight] Of course you heard the column of Mayor Vroom again tonight. The mayor wonders, "What makes you angry?" Read the column here or listen to the column below. Possibly Fieldlab church service in Krimpen

Thursday evening April 1 in Decennium Dick in extended with Mayor Martijn Vroom to look back on the past week. Through Teams I spoke with the mayor tonight about the impasse, the polarization and how we hope to get out of this situation together. POLARIZATION This week for the churches 'The silent week' it is the week of Good Friday and the following Easter. But it was not quiet in Krimpen aan den IJssel. It was restless with a journalist being kicked in the stomach and a firework bomb that exploded near the 'Oude Gereformeerde Kerk in the Netherlands' popularly known as the Mieraskerk. There is polarization. The full city council issued a joint statement this week. The mayor calls it 'the basis for a lot of good that is yet to come'. But the mayor also realizes that more is needed to regain peace in Krimpen: 'Without outside help, I think we will not just get out as a village, so we have already discussed this road a number of times. had with the ministr...
