Stand-up Comedy at De Tuyter 12/12

How to laugh safely? Do you also feel like it ?! We dare to do it again and… are just looking forward to it again! On Saturday December 12 we will do what we do best! Stand-up comedy in De Tuyter! This time with 4 comedians, each with their own style! You probably know Tom Montfrooy . Not from TV, but because he once smashed all the windows of a classroom of primary school "de Nutcracker". Because it went downhill after that, he, the class clown, became a comedian. Tom reached the final of Cameretten in 2015 with the only thing he can do, joke. Hear how Tom experienced his childhood in Krimpen a / d IJssel and laugh with him, or laugh at him, he will not hear the difference after all. Paul London is a comedian, father, painter, illustrator and one of the men behind the successful comic “The Wonderful World of Marc”. Two months after his first performance in Wellington, New Zealand, he was in the finals of a national stand up competition and in his first year he immed...

Interview with writer Marieke Burgers

Dutch Marieke Burgers, born in Nijmegen in 1954, has lived in Denmark for over 20 years, but grew up with family and other lovely animals in the tropics: with tigers in the backyard in Indonesia, donkeys on the island of Kharg in the Persian Gulf and monkeys in Africa. Maybe that's why she has a critical eye for human behavior and animal instincts. She has published many books and articles on cultural marketing and the museum experience in English, Dutch and Danish. She is also the author of countless cheerful articles in Danish about language, food and cultural differences and countless satirical fables. She has also reported extensively about her travels in Asia (Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar). Some of her satirical fables have been published in the Danish web magazine POV international. We are going to talk to her about her new book "Signed and sketched" . Ellen Bommelje is also present with her "Happy with the Bieb aan den IJssel". This time the book ...

Young woman amazes everyone by climbing a mountain wearing a skirt and high heels

An American woman has made it a sport to climb high mountain peaks in an everyday outfit. “At first I struggled to climb one mountain, and now I do it with my fingers in my nose, even in heels,” she says. Erin Ton loves mountaineering so much that she dropped out of college in 2018 to become a full-time mountaineer. The 22-year-old woman has now defied some 57 mountain peaks in Colorado and nowadays no longer does so in adapted outdoor clothing, but simply in a skirt and high heels. She shared some photos of her striking outfit at the top of Mount Elbert at 4,401 meters. Her followers did not hide their enthusiasm. “Crazy and impressive at the same time”, “You are the coolest person ever” and “What a tough woman with class”, it sounds among others. When people ask her why she's doing it, she replies in the Colorado Gazette, "Why not?" For her, the everyday outfit is symbolic. “It is symbolic of how fast I have progressed. At first I struggled to climb one mountain, and ...

Calling the Pakjesboot - This week in Decennium Dick

As 'mister' or 'master' Dick, I was allowed to help welcome Sinterklaas during the arrival of Sinterklaas in recent years. All children: boys, girls and young and old were made enthusiastic. This year a digital alternative. But of course ... if the Sinterklaas Journaal shows that 'The Local Sufferdje' can call the steamboat. And if that also applies to 'Radio Klootwijk', then that also applies to the local Omroep Krimpen. How that phone call went? Very weird... Tip: Have you already made a drawing for Sinterklaas? And submitted digitally via the website of the Sinterklaas journal? Do! Then Mayor Vroom will ensure that Sinterklaas receives your drawing. And the mayor will even thank you for your drawing. Of course also in the broadcast: Mayor Vroom's column. This week's column is entitled: 'Digital criminals'. Read the column here or listen to the column here ... Man named Orc has tusks placed in his mouth, the internet is shocked

This is 'Orc', a man obsessed with so-called 'body modification'. The 41-year-old Brazilian is not on his test piece when it comes to adjusting body parts, but his latest addition went viral on the worldwide web. The tattoo artist has now had 80% of his body covered in tattoos, but that was not enough. For example, he recently had tusks placed in his mouth, so that he indeed goes through life just like an 'orc', a creature from the fantasy world. “I'm just trying to be myself. These are my ideas and my inspiration comes straight from the heart. I am not inspired by others ”, he said in an interview. In addition to applying tusks, the man also had his eyeballs tattooed, his tongue cut in half, and eight piercings placed under his skin. Opinions are not entirely unexpectedly divided on the internet. Some people think that he can decide for himself what to do with his body, others think it is pure self-mutilation. Well, I don't like it at all. In this ...

Dad builds life-size pirate ship as a Halloween gift for daughter

A New York father gave his children an unforgettable Halloween: the man single-handedly built a life-size pirate ship 15 meters long and 6 meters high. The colossus is in front of his house in Rochester. “I just do it for fun and for my children,” Tony DeMatteo tells news channel CNN. “It has been a difficult year for many people. I thought this would be a great opportunity to put a smile on many faces. ” On Halloween, two professional actors manned the ship and handed out candy to children. The father of three says he was driven by the Halloween madness in his kids, who "keep getting excited" when they see Halloween decorations. Several years ago, DeMatteo's now 13-year-old daughter asked for a Halloween in the theme of 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. To realize her wish, her father then built a pirate boat. But this year the ship is twice as big. The structure is made of recycled metal, wood and rope. The ship is decorated with pirate flags and a giant skeleton han...
